Hong Kong Definitive Stamps - New Denominations of the 2014 - Official First Day Cover 2018-01-01 [Hongkong Post]

The Hong Kong Geopark was officially designated a National Geopark of China in 2009, and became a member of the Global Geoparks Network in 2011. With the formalization of the new label 'UNESCO Global Geopark', Hong Kong Global Geopark of China was renamed as Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark in November 2015. Located in the eastern part of Hong Kong and extending from the Northeast New Territories to the Sai Kung area, the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark is a single entity that comprises two regions, namely, Northeast New Territories Sedimentary Rock Region and Sai Kung Volcanic Rock Region, each with its unique geological features.
