Malaysia: Sungai Buloh-Kajang MRT Line
The MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line is the ninth rail transit line and the second fully automated and driverless rail system in the Klang Valley area, Malaysia after the Kelana Jaya Line. The line is part of the Greater KL/Klang Valley Integrated Transit System. The line is numbered 9 and colored green on official transit maps.
Phase 2 between Muzium Negara and Kajang was opened on 17 July 2017, as a free shuttle service, by Malaysian Prime Minister in a ceremony at the Tun Razak Exchange station.

Malaysia: 2017 Southeast Asian Games
The 2017 Southeast Asian Games (Malay: Sukan Asia Tenggara 2017), officially known as the 29th Southeast Asian Games was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event that took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The was the sixth time that Malaysia hosted the games. The games were held from 19 to 30 August 2017. Around 4646 athletes participated at the event, which featured 404 events in 38 sports. It was opened by the King of Malaysia, Muhammad V at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium.

Australia: Koala
Koala is an arboreal herbivorous native to Australia. Its closest living relatives are the wombats. The koala is found in coastal areas of the mainland's eastern and southern regions, inhabiting Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. Koalas from the northern populations are typically smaller and lighter in color than their counterparts down south.
This very cute koala maxicard came in the beautiful envelop below. I cannot thank Cindy enough for both the maxicard and the First Day Cover of Year of the Dog 2018.

Malaysia: Protection Dog (Belgian Shepherd)
Protection dogs are used to monitor and guard against unwanted people or animals. These dogs are trained to differentiate between their opponents and friends so as to simply scare or attack targets. There dogs bark loudly to inform their guardians of the presence of offenders or intruders and to scare off intruders. A guard dog is also trained to attack or obstruct offenders. Among the best breed of guard dogs are German Shepherd and Belgian Shepherd. In prison, guard dogs are used to help control the prisoners.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong is the monarch and head of state of Malaysia. The office was established in 1957 when the Federation of Malaya (now Malaysia) gained independence from the United Kingdom.
The 15th and current Yang di-Pertuan Agong is Sultan Muhammad V of Kelantan. His reign began on 13 December 2016.

World Post Day is celebrated each year on October 9th, the anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union in 1874 in the Swiss Capital, Bern. It was declared World Post Day by the UPU Congress held in Tokyo, Japan. Since then, countries across the world participates annually in the celebrations.

Australia: ICI House
ICI House, now known as Orica House, is a office building in East Melbourne, Australia. It was the first International Style skyscraper in the country. The construction of the building started in 1955, and was completed in 1958. It is one of the few post-war office buildings to be found on the Victorian Heritage Register.

Croatia: Betina Museum of Wooden Shipbuilding
In August 11-14th, Betina hosted the 2nd annual event of Small Wooden Shipbuilding Days. The goal with this programme is to point out the values of small wooden shipbuilding has in our maritime heritage, The Betina Museum of Wooden Shipbuilding prepared interesting lectures, exhibitions and workshops both for kids and adults. The museum also ended the programme with a traditional sailing regatta "For the Body and Soul" on the fourth day of the event.

Hong Kong: A Tribute to Teachers
Today I am very happy to share with you the new maxicards I bought at the post office that are being published in Hong Kong today (2016/09/06).
This set of maxicards contain 4 messages with stamp values of "Nurture and Growth" ($1.70), "Mentoring and Care" ($2.90), "Potential and Confidence" ($3.7), and "Dedication and Support" ($5.0) respectively. (1 USD is about 7.8 HKD).
The theme of these postcards is "A Tribute to Teacher". To show appreciation for the dedication of the teaching profession, September 10th has been designated as Teachers' Day in Hong Kong. To mark Teachers' Day this year, the stamp issue encourages students to show appreciation to their teachers for their care and guidance.
