Officially the Republic of the Philippines, the Philippines is a archipelagic country in Southeast Asia. It consists of about 7641 islands that are categorized broadly under three main geographical division from north to south: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The capital city of the Philippines is Manila, and the most populous city is Quezon City, both part of Metro Manila.

It is renowned as the "perfect cone" because of its symmetric conical shape. The volcano and its surrounding landscape was declared a national park in 1938.

Philippines: Boracay Island

*yay* My first card from the Philippines :D

Boracay is a small island in the Philippines located south of Manila. The island and is beaches have received awards from numerous travel publications and agencies. In 2012, Boracay was awarded as the best island in the world from the international magazine Travel + Leisure.

From the picture, this place does look very beautiful. It certainly made it to my to-go list :D
