Brazil: Latin America Memorial


The Latin America Memorial is a political and leisure complex, inaugurated in 1989, in São Paulo, Brazil. The cultural project was developed by Brazilian anthropologist Darcy Ribeiro. It is a public foundation, financially and administratively autonomous, maintained by the state government.

Brazil: Rich Village of the Black Gold (Vila Rica do Ouro Preto)

Vita Rica do Ouro Preto is a city in the state of "Minas Gerais", a former colonial mining town located in the "Serra do Espinhaco" mountains and designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO because of its outstanding Baroque architecture.

Founded at the end of the 17th century, "Ouro Preto" (meaning Black Gold) was the focal point of the gold rush and Brazil's golden age in the 18th century.

Brazil: Juiz de Fora

Juiz de Fora, also known as J.F., is a city in the southeastern Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. The massive presence of immigrants - especially from Portugal, Italy, Germany, Syria, Lebanon and China - throughout its history as given the city a cosmopolitan spirit and diverse cuisine.
