Germany: Staatsoper Hannover

This card was send from a German Postcrosser. :)

Staatsoper Hannover is an opera house in Hannover. The home base of this opera house is a theater built in classical style between 1845 and 1852 based on a plan drawn by Georg Ludwig Friedrich Laves. The building was badly damaged in World War II, and was rebuilt in 1948.

It also had a beautiful stamp, and a cancel with the city's name.

Hungary: Top Sights of Veszprem

This is my first card from Hungary :) *yay*

Showing multiple views of Veszprem, this Hungarian city is one of the oldest urban areas in the country. It is located approximately 110 km from Budapest, with a population of 61,000.

Some of the popular locations of this city is the Veszprem Cathedral, Castle Hill, and Episcopal Palace.

India: White-rumped Shama

This card was sent from a Postcrosser in India :)
It's also my first card from this beautiful country in Asia.

The white-rumped shama is a small passerine bird. Native to densely vegetated habitats in the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia, its popularity as a cage-bird and songster has led to it being introduced elsewhere. This bird species is shy and somewhat crepuscular yet territorial.

The Himalayas is a mountain range which separates the Great Indian Plains from the Tibetan Plateau. This range is home to 9 of the 10 highest peaks on Earth, including Mount Everest. Nearly 1000 birds have been recorded in the Himalayas, which 15 species are fully endemic.

South Korea: The Nighty Sky of the Alps For You (알프스의 밤하늘을 너에게)

Today, I received another from my Korean postcard pal.

Similar to the "Our Happy Time" card, this card also features a dark and starry night. Instead of the lake, the man stands alone by himself in front of the Alps. It gives a sense of loneliness and hopelessness,,,,,, But I still like this card a lot because starry nights are just so calm and astonishing.

This second card is from the state of Illinois. Also located on the east side of the United States, Illinois became the 21st state in 1818. Chicago is one of the most well-known city of the state.

This first one I got is a North Carolina state card, and it's also my first card from this state. Located on the east coast of the US, North Carolina is the 12th state that was admitted in the United States in 1789. Here are some information about North Carolina if you are interested :)

South Korea: Our Happy Time (우리들의 행복한 시간)

This is another card I received from South Korea today.
It is from one of my pen pals and we have been swapping quite a few cards :)

I thought this was a very beautiful card because it features the starry sky, which is one of my favorite themes on postcards. The name of the card is called "Our Happy Time", and it has a boy and his puppy sitting on the dock on the lake that reflected the dark yet starry sky. The back of the card also has a matching drawing. Also, sender put a stamp on the card with a similar picture :) which I thought was very thoughtful :D

This card has the same style as "The Night Sky of the Alps For You"

Germany: Kronentor am Zwinger

Today, I received a card from Germany.

The Zwinger was built between 1709 to 1728, and is one of most well-known architecture in Dresden.

But the sender was very thoughtful and he sent the card in an envelop with beautiful stamps and a letter replying my questions that I posted on my Postcrossing profile.




I was quite inspired by his message. He said that "Our life on Earth is only a very short part. We are here to learn about ourselves. Maybe we need many years to see that. [...] I can't change the world. I can change only myself and hope that other people thinking about: Why is this a happy man? Love is missing in this world. But you can only give love when you are able to love yourself. A simple truth."

After reading his message...I felt warmth and love within me :) I made me feel that there is still hope and love in the world, and that everyone should try to make the world better by smiling upon each other. Before it is too late, say a word of thanks or love to someone that is important to you, close to you, or even someone who you have not contacted for awhile :) I'm sure it will make their day and bring a smile to their face.
