Neolamarckia cadamba, also called kadam locally, is an evergreen tropical tree native to South and Southeast Asia. A fully mature kadam tree can reach up to 45m height.
Kadam features in Indian religions and mythologies. The fruit of this tree occur in small, fleshy capsules packed closely together to form a fleshy yellow-orange infructescence.
